Words To Live By Album: Learn

I came across this awesome blog called Bits and Bytes by Brenda. She also participated in the Big idea Festival's Words To Live By Album and she has decided that she wants to continue her album. She has posted page templates with new words for the album. Visit her blog as she will be continuing to post templates. Here's my page with her second template with the word "learn".

Embrace Imperfection Mini Album: Cover & Page 1

Quite awhile ago Big Picture Classes offered a free class called Embrace Imperfection. I signed up but never really had the time to complete it. I started it just the other day and it is fabulous. The focus of the class is on embracing imperfection, so that we as scrapbookers can stop being so focused on perfection so that we can actually tell our stories. The project for the class was to develop a small mini album using quotes about perfection. I love this project as I really seem to be into making mini albums lately. I have started with the cover and page #1 (there are 12 quotes altogether. So here they are and as I complete future pages I will continue posting them.

Currents

The original idea for this weekly post came from life love paper .

Thought I'd try it out as well. So here goes:

listening: silence it's almost 3 am and the girls are sound asleep
eating: Sweet & Salty almond granola bar
drinking: coffee & water
wearing: track pants & t-shirt
feeling: sad
weather: 14 degrees
wanting: to work on some projects
needing: to stay positive
thinking: about my dad I miss him so much
enjoying: the peacefulness of a silent house
wondering: how long it's going to take at the passport office

{weekly intention}

According to Andrea from ABC Creativity :

'Hello Monday Morning! A fresh week. A fresh start. Everything is wide open. Everything is possible.

Before you jump right into your week, take a few minutes to choose where you want to focus your energy this week, to think about what direction you want to be moving in.

Setting a weekly intention is taking some time to pave the way for success, joy and dreams come true to find you throughout the week.

This is not about setting goals or creating to-do lists and working your tail off to achieve them. This is about taking some time to be quiet and still and ask “What do I need this week?” and setting an intention from there to align yourself with that.

Then the real work is to remember your intention and align with it throughout the week.'

My intention for this week is to live every moment as if it matters, to stop and take notice of the little things and to try and be the best me I can possibly be.

My Best Shot Monday

Mental Health Monday - What To Do When You Are Feeling Overwhelmed

Lately, I have been feeling overwhelmed all the time. I never used to notice before that often my anxiety and panic is really just me feeling overwhelmed and unprepared to deal with my emotions and what is going on around me. I decided to look on the internet to find some ways to deal with being overwhelmed and came across some great suggestions so I thought I'd share them with all of you.

1. TIRED
 - the more tired you are the worse it becomes - make sure you are getting enough rest and that you don't find yourself  over tired

2. LET GO
 - let go of everything you are thinking, back away and look at the big picture

3. MINIMIZE
 - look at what you can do to minimize what you have to do try to at least achieve the bare minimum if you do more than that it is a bonus

4. SELF CARE
 - make sure you are taking care of yourself and your personal needs

5. TRUST YOURSELF
 - only you know what you need and what you can do , trust in that

6. PRIORITIZE
 - be realistic and remember time

7. BE CREATIVE
 - problem solve creatively

8. FOCUS ON THE MOMENT
 - you can only do one thing at a time and you are only one person focus on each thing you are doing in that moment and then move onto the next

"Dream small dreams. If you make them too big, you get overwhelmed and you don't do anything. If you make small goals and accomplish them, it gives you the confidence to go on to higher goals."  John H. Johnson
