The Newest Member Of Our Family

This is Cinnamon - the newest member of our family. I had no real intention of getting a puppy. I took Emily to the pet store a little over a week ago and she was petting him and looked at me with her huge eyes and said "Mommy - I just fell in love." Needless to say - we took him home.

Feeling Good

I have been spending a lot of time lately focusing on making improvements in my life. Focusing on setting goals to achieve what I really want. Focusing on creating better relationships with the people in my lives. I attendee a Pathways seminar the past few days and learned so many amazing things that are going to be able to help me be able to communicate better. I am looking forwards to learning more and using the skills I have learned. Right now I am feeling good.

My new Scrap/Painting Area

I got so tired of always trying to find all of my supplies so I turned my closet into a scrap/painting area. Worked on it all week. Heree's the finished product.

2 Peas Friday Blogger Challenge

Join us today/Friday if you blog. Challenge: Share with the rest of us, some of your most FUNNIEST MOMENTS in your life. Have fun! Could be anything.. just funny things you remember!
Pretty much all of the funny things I remember are things my daughters have said. They are so innocent and almost anything can come out of their mouths. One was when Emily told me she wanted to be a pinecone when she grew up because they were pretty (she was 3 at the time.) Another was when Amber tried to convince me to come live at her dad's house with him and his girlfriend. She told me that daddy had two pillows on his bed - one for him and one for Amanda and that I could sleep on the couch. It was so honest and so innocent - it was so cute! (She was 6.)

Just some photos

My client and I went on a country drive yesterday - these are some of the sights we saw.

2 Peas Blogger Challenge

Join us today/Tuesday if you blog. Challenge: If you could relive your life, and change only one thing, what would it be? Share your thoughts.

Wow - this is a tough one - it's hard to know what I would change as I think all the experiences I have had to this point have shaped me into the woman I am today. I guess if I had to pick one thing though, it would be that I would have worked harder at saving my marriage. I grew up wanting a family so badly and wanting kids who had a mom and a dad together. They still have a mom and a dad who love them very much, but I think I would have tried a lot harder to see if our marriage could have worked so that we could all still be a family and the girls could have their parents together.

Teen Challenge Choir

I had the amazing priviledge during this morning's church service to see this amazing choir perform. The choir is made up of men who are recovering from substance abuse. These men are so empowering and amazing. They have all come to a place in their lives where they realized that with the help of Christ that they could recover from their substance abuse. They all have such a passion and love for Christ and are allowing Christ to guide their lives every single day, and every single step of their recovery. They made a huge impact on me, for I too am a recovering addict. Through their songs, and testimonies I found even more strength and even more desire to live my life for Christ every single day in the same way as these men. The Teen Challenge Program runs all over Canada and the US and is not government funded. Today I signed up to help 1 man go through this program by pledging only $30 a month to help cover the costs for him to enter this Christ based rehab program. There are actually men who are dying of overdoses waiting on lists to enter this program and all I had to do to help was offer $30.00 a month to potentially stop that from happening. I probably spend more than that each month on my weekly visits to Tim Hortons with my girls. By sponsoring 1 man, I am giving someone the chance to learn as I have through my recovery that Christ loves every single one of us and that Christ can help us in all we do. In Christ we will find the strength to do what we may otherwise think as the impossible. If we give Christ control of our lives and live our lives daily for Him we can be so very blessed. I encourage anyone who frequents my blog to please visit the web link I added above. Please add theses strong, brave men, and this amazing ministry to your prayers, and please, please think of sponsoring someone to go through this program. By sponsoring, we are helping to plant the seeds of God in these men who can do incredible things with their lives. I know in my recovery, God has done so many incredible things, because someone believed in me enough to stand by me.
