The coolest mail ever

Yesterday I got the coolest mail ever!! Last month I posted on my blog my list of 32 things to do before I turn 33. One of the items on that list was to take my girls to Saunder's Farm again this year. I have taken my girls there the past 8 years. It is like a little tradition we have every fall around Thanksgiving. Well shortly after my post I received the absolute nicest email from the people at Saunders Farm telling me that they had come across my blog and thanking me for the mention of their farm. In yesterday's mail I received the nicest note and a family pass to the farm. I usually go on Thanksgiving Weekend so we will definitely be going again this year. I just think that the people who own the farm are the sweetest - they even asked me to let them know when we arrive. I am so excited to take the girls back this year!!

Yesterday I posted a question on the two peas message board asking for some help with using templates with PSCS3 and I got some answers real quick. I was trying to figure out how to do clipping masks but had no idea what it was called to be able to search it. Well, once I learned what it was called I was off to the races to try out this new technique. Here's as page I did using clipping masks to make my photo into the circle. I love this!!

Journaling reads: I love going to antique shops to just look around and think about all the possibilities for what I see. I love looking for milk cans and old saws and saw blades when I am browsing the antique stores. I believe this is because I look at them and imagine what I could tole paint on them. Simple pleasures.

I've Been missing In Action

Well folks, after a month of no Internet I am back. With lots to share. This past month has been so busy for us here. We went on a trip to Toronto to Canada's Wonderland & the Zoo. It was so fun - awesome actually - watch for posts coming soon with photos of the trip. Also, with no Internet I had lots of time to create. I actually accomplished 30 digital layouts. These will be coming as well. I started a new job a few weeks ago working overnights at Walmart. I've had a rough start to it and am having a very hard time adjusting to nights and to not being here for the girls. My life seems to be in chaos right now but hopefully with back to school a routine will develop and things will settle down. Hopefully.

32 Things To Do Before I Turn 33

I saw this idea on another blog and stupidly forgot to bookmark it, I thought it was a great challenge idea - so here's my list:

1. Take girls to Canada's Wonderland with Gord
2. Take girls to Toronto Zoo with Gord
3. Have a night alone with just Amber
4. Have a night alone with just Emily
5. Buy Gord something for his truck for his birthday
6. Take the girls to the apple orchard
7. Take the girls to Saunders Farm at Thanksgiving
8. Take the girls to a museum before school starts
9. Go out to a dinner & movie with Gord in Ottawa
10. Create 30 digital scrapbook layouts
11. Go to a scrapbook crop at the new store in Smiths Falls
12. Take at least one photograph each day
13. Give my Pathways staff group my fullest attention and detail
14. Group lead Pathways basic in September
15. See Mama-Mia with my mom
16. Visit Grandma at least twice
17. Visit grandpa
18. Do something with a girlfriend
19. Clean my house once and for all
20. Go through everyone's fall and winter clothing
21. Work on Gord's Christmas present
22. Do at least 1 tole painting
23. Complete the journaling on the pages that are ready in the Niagara Falls album
24. Do at least 10 pages in the Niagara Falls album
25. Camp in the tent at the lake with the girls at least one more time
26. Go on a run with Gord in the truck to the States
27. Find the girls awesome Halloween costumes
28. Chose a Christmas card idea and get started on making them
29. Get my fingernails done
30. Clean out basement and porch and donate stuff to charity
31. Buy an exercise DVD
32. Get some indoor plants for the house
