Currents
The original idea for this weekly post came from life love paper . Thought I'd try it out as well. So here goes:
listening: Never let Go David Crowder Band
eating: nothing yet
drinking: coffee
wearing: track pants, t-shirt
feeling: inspired
weather: rainy 7 degrees
wanting: to create
needing: some more sleep
thinking: about my dad
enjoying: some quiet time before I wake the girls for school
wondering: how my day is going to go

Mental Health Monday

The past few weeks have been so overwhelming for me that I have noticed the depression and anxiety have worsened. I haven't been getting dressed, haven't been leaving the house, haven't even been blogging. This week I've finally decided enough is enough and I have taken many steps to getting things done ... regardless of how crappy I am feeling. I guess sometimes I just need to remind myself to take that extra step, to push myself a little harder. Sometimes I just get so caught up in how I am feeling that I let everything go and I back away from everything and everyone. Each day I need to make that added effort to not let the depression and anxiety win. I can beat this!

Visit ABCcreativity to find out more about weekly intentions and see the wonderful meditation about setting intentions.
According to Andrea 'Setting an intention is taking time to pave the way to success, joy and dreams come true to find you throughout the week. This is not about setting goals or creating to-do lists and working your tail off to achieve them. This is about taking some time to be quiet and still and ask 'What do I need this week?' and setting an intention from there to align yourself with that.'

My intention this week is to do something everyday that brings me closer to developing my photography business more. I need to edit more photos for the Facebook page, set up some practice shoots and advertise to get some new sessions booked. I also need to get out taking new photos - the more practice the better.

Team-Up Thursday : Green
You can play along on the Mental Inventory blog and find the Flickr album here. I am paired up with the talented Kyla from The Kreative Life. This week we chose the theme of green for our shots. I love her shot (the one on the right) - it is just the cutest!!

National Scrapbook Day Layouts
I had the best plans all made out for National Scrapbooking Day. I was going to stay in my p.j.'s all day and listen to music while scrapbooking and completing challenges on my favorite digital scrapbooking websites. I had made arrangements for someone else to care for the kids for the whole day. I was all set. Then my plans changed last minute and I ended up being busy with something else almost all day Saturday. I was so disappointed. I did however, manage to complete two layouts. Both were template challenges where the digital template was provided and you had to make it your own. I am quite pleased with the results of both.

30 days....who's with me! - ScrapMatters Forum
I came across this 30 day blogging challenge at scrapmatters.com and it sounded like fun. I'm a few months late but thought that doing it now was better than never. Here's how the 30 days are set out:
Day 1-Introduce, recent picture, 15 interesting facts
Day 2-Meaning behind your blog name
Day 3-Your first love
Day 4-Your parents
Day 5-Your favorite recipes
Day 6-A picture of something that makes you happy
Day 7-Favorite movies
Day 8-A place you've traveled to
Day 9-A picture of your friends
Day 10-Something you're afraid of
Day 11-Favorite TV shows
Day 12-What you believe
Day 13-Goals
Day 14-A picture you love
Day 15-Bible verse
Day 16-Dream house
Day 17-Something you're looking forward to
Day 18-Something you regret
Day 19-Something you miss
Day 20-Nicknames
Day 21-Picture of yourself
Day 22-What's in your makeup bag
Day 23-Favorite vacation
Day 24-Something you've learned
Day 25-Put your iPod on shuffle, first 10 songs
Day 26-Picture of your family
Day 27-Pets
Day 28-Something that stresses you out
Day 29-3 Wishes
Day 30-a picture
I've been thinking that not only would I like to do this blog challenge but I'd also like to do it in a digital scrapbook layout - after 30 days I will have 1 small album complete. There's nothing I like better than completed projects.
